Christmas is always a special time at the Regent Singapore. This year, it continues to spread the festive cheer with a host of dining experiences at the Hotel’s award-winning outlets.

Festive Feasts at Basilico Raise a glass and toast to an all-Italian Buone Feste with produce picked at the height of their seasons. Throughout the month of December, lunches, dinners and brunches take on delicious festive twists.

For a striking centrepiece, look to the Mirto-infused Turkey stuffed with Williams Pears and Heirloom Beetroots. Mirto is derived from the alcoholic maceration of myrtle berries. Carrying bittersweet notes of juniper, allspice and pine, the liqueur is similar to amaro, the Italian herbal digestif, except it is produced almost exclusively in Sardinia. Carve through juicy, succulent meat to reveal a stuffing of Williams pears, harvested in Emilia-Romagna for their peerless fragrance.

Also a magnificent roast, the Porchetta Romana stuffed with Plums and Glazed Heirloom Baby Carrots is a crisp, golden and crackling cut of pork wrapped in its rind and flavoured with herbs. End your meals like an Italian would with traditional Christmas breads such as Panettone and Pandoro topped with Mascarpone Cream.

On Christmas Day, look forward to brunch with a dedicated cheese room carrying over 50 Italian specialty cheeses; a live station of Purple Potato Gnocchi with Roasted Chestnuts, Castelmagno Cheese Fondue and Winter Black Truffles; and a Caviar Station with all the condiments.

Expect an impressive spread of ocean spray at dinner, where the seafood bar will carry Poached Lobsters, and Poached Alaskan King Crabs with Aperol and Grapefruit. Watch the chefs in action as they carve Roasted Turkey, Porchetta Romana and whip up Slow-cooked Salted Codfish with Crispy Polenta, Sage and Toasted Hazelnuts.

A kiddie’s playroom complete with festive goodies, bouncy castle, game consoles, arts & crafts, is available for the little ones on December 25, 2019. They can expect some very special guests, including a magician and jolly ol’ Santa himself!

Building Castles in the North Pole at Tea Lounge Tea Lounge will offer whimsical treats served against a floating castle hovering above the North Pole. The Festive Weekday Afternoon Tea is served on a three-tier stand replete with an assortment of seasonal finger sandwiches and savoury highlights; alongside Gingerbread-scented Scones, Santa Hat Raspberry Choux Puffs, “Oh Deer” Caramel Mousse Cake, Maple Pecan Chocolate Tarts and Bubbly Rosette Champagne Truffles.

On weekends, the buffet offerings expand to include an array of salads, smoked fish and sushi, a caviar station, a carvery and local delights. Complete the experience with a Poinsettia Cocktail, featuring orange liqueur, cranberry juice and champagne. For a good old classic, there’s Peppermint Hot and Iced Chocolate to pair with all the festive goodies.

Over Christmas Day, the Hotel’s High Tea Buffet will feature a spread of Butterfly Pea Poached Baby Lobster with Purple Cabbage Pickle, French Sweet Peas and Blood Orange Caviar; and Wood Oven-roasted Five Spice Marinated Crispy Pork Belly with Yuzu Aioli.

Speciality highlights for New Year’s Day include Spiced Roasted Whole Baby Lamb with Whole Grain Mustard and Marinated Potatoes; and Organic Honey Glazed Gammon Ham with Marsala Wine Sauce.
