Marriott International today announced strong growth of its Asia Pacific luxury portfolio with 13 new luxury properties projected to open in 2019, offering a wide range of transformative experiences designed to capture the modern luxury traveler. Marriott International’s current portfolio of 130 luxury hotels across ten countries and territories in Asia Pacific is poised to grow in 2019 with new openings from JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and The Luxury Collection. Additionally, Marriott International’s unified loyalty program, Marriott Bonvoy, will offer more guests unique experiences in coveted destinations across the region.

The Ritz-Carlton continues its growth in Asia Pacific with four anticipated openings. The Ritz-Carlton, Perth, which is expected to open in October, will mark the brand’s return to Australia. The brand is also slated to bring its legendary service and style to key markets in China and India with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton, Xi’an in June, The Ritz-Carlton, Nanjing in October and The Ritz-Carlton, Pune in September.
One of the fastest growing luxury brands in Asia Pacific, JW Marriott continues its expansion by adding five new properties, including the newly opened JW Marriott Hotel Qufu and soon-to-open JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Shanghai Pudong in August. The Pudong property will be the first JW Marriott Marquis in Asia, and the third globally. The brand expects to also debut in the Maldives in August.
The Luxury Collection continues to make its mark, with the exciting debut of IRAPH SUI, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Okinawa, in January 2019 and two anticipated hotels in Nanning, China and Kolkata, India.
