Blue Lotus, the award-winning restaurant serving up traditional Chinese cuisine with a modern twist, will be bringing their signature Chilli Pomelo Crab dishes to city dwellers with the launch of their new menu at the Tanjong Pagar outlet. From April 2019 onwards, office workers and food fanatics alike in the central business district will have even more reasons to dine at Blue Lotus for this crowned dish which was previously only available at the Sentosa Cove outlet.

Offering one of the most innovative modern Chinese menus in town, the menu which was conceptualised under the guidance of Culinary Director, Ricky Ng, will continue to deliver elegantly crafted dishes that stays true to his culinary roots and passion for adding an artistry mix to every dish.

Having earned themselves the reputation as having one of the island’s best chilli pomelo crab dishes as witnessed by its popularity amongst customers and host of accolades and awards in recent years, Ricky Ng, Owner and Culinary Director of Blue Lotus said, “Our guests have always enjoyed our signature Chilli Pomelo Crab since we first introduced it at our flagship outlet at Sentosa Cove, and we figured, why not bring it closer to our customers to enjoy in the city? Diners can now look forward to enjoying innovative renditions of the chilli pomelo crab sauce paired perfectly with seafood dishes that were previously only available at the flagship Sentosa Cove outlet. The chilli pomelo crab sauce which is overwhelming in itself is presented in a reinventive new way creating dishes like Signature Chilli Pomelo Crab, Signature Chilli Pomelo Crispy Soft-Shell Crabs ($22) and Chilli Pomelo Mussels ($30). Diners can also indulge in the ingenious creation of the first Chilli Pomelo Crab Tart in Singapore, a Blue Lotus signature dish which was originally conceptualised in July 2017 by Ricky himself. To top it off, Blue Lotus has plans to bring their iconic chilli pomelo crab sauce to every household by packaging it in jars ready for purchase.
While those craving for other timeless crab flavours can order the Chargrilled Yellow Roe Crab, Black & White Pepper BBQ Sauce or the Josper Grilled Garlic Butter Crab, at a digestible price tag of $9/100g.

The Blue Lotus outlet at Tanjong Pagar will also be introducing a new three-course set lunch menu starting from $18++ onwards. Available from Monday to Friday (11.30am to 3pm), customers can choose from seven palate-tantalizing main course creations such as Pork Lard Truffle Flavoured Shiitake Mushrooms & Beansprouts Noodles, Hot Stone Pork Lard Truffle Flavoured Egg Fried Rice, King Prawns & Green Lip Mussels Laksa, Claypot “Ma Po Tofu” Onsen Egg Rice, Szechuan “Ma La” Beef Shank Noodles Soup, Claypot Drunken Prawns with Chinese Herbs & Hua Tiao Mee Sua, and Hot Stone Peppercorn Australian beef Tenderloin, Egg Fried Rice. Each set lunch menu is served with a Chef’s Special Soup of the Day and Dessert.
