Riding on the success of the Gate Bags, LOEWE is set to spawn a varied range of attractive options based on the original saddle-inspired concept this fall. With the vision of creating a family of products that will accompany a LOEWE lady through every occasion imaginable, the Gate Bag is updated in an expanded spectrum of colours and irresistible new material combinations in true LOEWE fashion. The evolution of the collection reiterates LOEWE’s extraordinary craft skills in leatherworking, with the exploration of different proportions, fabrications, textiles and silhouettes. These new additions will articulate the idea of the Gate into novel, exciting and versatile possibilities sure to make the Spanish house’s latest star product even more appealing to a wider clientele around the world.

The Gate Mini

Arriving in stores soon is the bag’s smallest version yet – the Mini Gate – first seen on the runway at LOEWE’s women’s show in March. Proportionately scaled, the Mini Gate retains the distinctive features that have made the Gate a classic in the making, notably the knotted front belt bow closure and a metallic side hinge-pin with a dangling leather strip that gives the Gate its name. Young, fashionable and youthful, the Mini Gate functions as an unassuming power statement, conveying a sense of ease and confidence.

The Gate Top-Handle

Also joining the Gate family is a roomier, more structured variation of the iconic bag. Equally timeless, the Gate Top-Handle provides the perfect daywear option to complete the look of a sophisticated working woman. Available in two sizes and a variety of leathers, textures and the option of being lined with exotic trimmings, the Gate is realized with new features including a T-construction with hand-painted edges as well as accordion sides that allow for a wider opening, increasing the capacity and functionality of the bag. Lightweight and practical, the Gate Top-Handle effortlessly lends an elevated style with its casual function.

The Seasonal Variations

The existing Gate and Small Gate style bags will be refreshed for the season, offered in an expanded gamut of colours, as well as irresistible new material combinations. Channeling inspiration from the English countryside and hunting motifs, the Gate returns in mixed materials with calfskin leather, paneled with houndstooth tweed to freshen up the iconic silhouette, featuring contrast stitching throughout. Other updates include the Small Gate Frame, made purely of boxcalf leather, with the addition of metalware to elevate the mood of the bag with a refined shiny finish. The iconic metal pin has been extended throughout the base of the Small Gate in this piece, lending a chic demeanor and contrasting texture. Both styles include adjustable shoulder straps for easy wear all day long.
