Lavazza, Italy’s No. 1 coffee roaster and one of the world’s leading coffee manufacturers, has once again demonstrated its commitment to the world of top gastronomy by proudly sponsoring “Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards 2018.” The sponsorship continues Lavazza’s 6-year partnership with “World’s 50 Best Restaurants”.
Having taken place over the past three days in Macau from March 25 – 27, 2018, Asia’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards brought together top chefs and food critics from around Asia. All attendees enjoyed one of Lavazza’s premium away-from-home products from its ¡Tierra! blends range. Lavazza’s ¡Tierra! Brazil 100% Arabica Espresso was served at all activities held during the world-class gastronomy event, including the welcome dinner on March 25 and #50BestTalks on March 26. On the night of the awards ceremony on March 27, guests also had the chance to taste Lavazza’s new Coffeetail, a new form of Lavazza coffee-based cocktails created by the Lavazza Training Centre. Founded in Italy in 1979, the Lavazza Training Centre is the first dedicated Espresso school in the world with currently more than 50 centres worldwide.
¡Tierra! is a collection of high quality coffees sourced from the most prestigious coffee-growing regions worldwide, which Lavazza has selected and expertly blended. Lavazza ¡Tierra! Brazil 100% Arabica Espresso, meant for food service professionals is the result of a social responsibility project between the Lavazza Foundation and Rainforest Alliance. Launched in 2002, the project aims to improve the social and environmental conditions, as well as production techniques of small communities of high quality coffee growers. All Tierra coffees are Rainforest Alliance certified. Part of the ¡Tierra! range, ¡Tierra! Brazil 100% Arabica Espresso is a superior blend of two super-selected coffee types: Lambarì, a natural arabica with a full body and a smooth consistency, and Cereja Apasita, late harvested arabica cherries left on the bush after natural ripening. The blend offers a velvety, sweet aroma with an intense body and hints of caramel and hazelnuts.
