MICHELIN guide Singapore 2017 selections announced alongside an exquisite dinner by internationally renowned chefs, paired refined wines

The second edition of MICHELIN guide Singapore 2017 Star Event will be held at the iconic Fullerton Hotel Singapore on 29 June 2017 and is poised to once again acknowledge Singapore’s most notable eateries by awarding Michelin stars.

The gilded event aims to celebrate Singapore’s culinary experts as the MICHELIN guide Singapore enters its second year in the city state. The evening will see the attendance of regional and local media as well as food connoisseurs who appreciate the wide-ranging selection of cuisines in Singapore.

In celebrating this year’s theme of all things Classic, the evening will start with canapés prepared by chef Leong Chee Yeng of Jade Restaurant, The Fullerton Hotel (listed in MICHELIN guide Singapore 2016) followed by an exquisite five-course menu specially prepared by chefs from both local and overseas Michelin-starred restaurants. Each course is carefully planned by chefs, with their own interpretation of classic cuisine, showcasing the mastery of their cuisine.

This year’s dinner will feature dishes from Chef Seita Nakahara of terra and chef Jason Tan of Corner House, located at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Singapore Botanic Gardens. Both have been awarded one-star in MICHELIN guide Singapore 2016. From the region, chef Tam Kwok Fung of Macau’s two-starred Jade Dragon will prepare a signature dish. Three Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant, Grace, will feature a course by its chef Curtis Duffy.

The dinner’s courses are a carefully planned selection of classic ingredients put together by the chefs working in partnership to create the most delectable dining experience, combining the unique flavours of the East and West. Paired with the dinner are impeccable selection of wines specially handpicked by the global authority and independent consumer’s guide to fine wine, Robert Parker Wine Advocate team to satiate every palate.

The MICHELIN guide Singapore 2017 Star Event will be held at one of Singapore’s gazetted national monuments – the Fullerton Hotel. The Fullerton Hotel building was the city state’s General Post Office with neo-classical architectural features and colonnades making the iconic building rich in history and the perfect venue for the second edition of the MICHELIN guide Singapore Star Event in 2017.
