Following the successful redesign of The Macallan’s Double Cask and Sherry Oak collections with renowned graphic designer David Carson, The Macallan presents “The Macallan x David Carson: In the Studio”, a limited-time public experience in Singapore that offers insight into the creative partnership behind one of the brand’s most distinctive collaborations.

Taking place at ÁTIPICO ROOM #15, New Bahru on 25–26 July, the exclusive experience invites visitors to step inside Carson’s creative process to reflect his artwork done for The Macallan. Rooted in a shared belief that mastery extends beyond technical expertise, In The Studio explores the creative philosophies that unite one of the world’s most renowned whisky makers with one of the most influential graphic designers of the modern era.

Carson’s creative partnership with The Macallan began in 2020 and reached a new milestone in 2025 with the redesign of the Double Cask and Sherry Oak collections. The collaboration brought together Carson’s instinctive and unconventional creative approach with The Macallan’s rich heritage and commitment to craftsmanship. Together, they explored a shared approach to creative expression, one that continues to define the partnership today.

“There’s no magic answer. At some point, you have to trust your gut,” says David Carson, a philosophy that lies at the heart of both the experience and The Macallan’s enduring pursuit of mastery.

The experience unfolds across three chapters, Instinct, Mastery and Craft, guiding guests through the principles that connect The Macallan and Carson’s respective disciplines.

The experience begins with Instinct, introducing guests to Carson’s intuitive way of working and the creative philosophy that underpins his collaboration with The Macallan. First introduced alongside the redesign of the Double Cask and Sherry Oak collections, You Know Me So Well reflects the natural creative alignment between Carson and The Macallan.

Guests are then invited into Mastery, culminating in a gallery-style showcase featuring original David Carson works alongside expressions from The Macallan’s celebrated Double Cask and Sherry Oak collections, including The Macallan 18, 25 and 30 Years Old. Reflecting the philosophy of Mastery Beyond Reason, the space explores how instinct, craft and patience converge to create a finished expression. Just as a frame completes a piece of art and a bottle completes a whisky, both Carson’s designs and The Macallan’s expressions represent the culmination of countless creative decisions, refined over time into something lasting and distinctive.

The final chapter, Craft, where Carson’s creative philosophy comes to life. Much like The Macallan’s whisky-making process, his work is guided by a balance of discipline, expertise and instinct. At a time when technology increasingly influences creative production, Carson’s work remains rooted in human intuition, experimentation and emotional response. Inspired by this philosophy, guests are encouraged to embrace experimentation, think in layers and trust one’s creative instincts.

The experience celebrates the shared values of instinct, creative mastery and craftsmanship that underpin both The Macallan and Carson’s work. The Macallan x David Carson: In the Studio will be open to public at ÁTIPICO ROOM #15, New Bahru on 25^th and 26^th July 2026.
