FIND – Design Fair Asia 2023: A Showcase of Italian Design Excellence

The second edition of FIND – Design Fair Asia, the region’s leading design event, opens on 21 Sep 2023 at Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo & Convention Centre, with a focus on Italian design excellence. The four-day fair, which runs until 24 September, features over 200 exhibitors from 20 countries, presenting the latest trends and innovations in furniture, lighting, interiors, and more.

One of the highlights of the fair is ‘The Italian Design Futures Capsules’, a special section that showcases the collective participation of 30 Italian companies and their most innovative designs. The section is curated by the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in collaboration with Federlegno Arredo Eventi (FLA), the Italian federation of wood, furniture and furnishing manufacturers. It aims to promote the Italian design industry and its contribution to sustainability, quality, and creativity.

Among the products on display are high-quality sofa beds by Milano Bedding, indoor and outdoor furniture by Emu Group, sustainable thermoplastic materials made from recycled sources by Guzzini, and more. The section also features a new installation called Italian Design day 2023 – ‘Italia Geniale’, which showcases over 80 of the most significant objects designed in Italy – many of which have been recognised with the prestigious Compasso d’Oro award. The installation is organised by ITA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, in partnership with ADI – Association for Industrial Design.

The fair also offers an array of partner activations, expanding on the show’s purpose of curating a platform for business. These include networking sessions, seminars, workshops, and awards ceremonies. Some of the partners involved are Archifest, DesignSingapore Council, International Furniture Fair Singapore (IFFS), Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), and Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC).
