TFWA Asia Pacific 2023: A Full-Scale Return for Duty Free and Travel Retail

The travel industry in Asia Pacific is showing signs of recovery as China reopens and passenger traffic accelerates. This is good news for the duty free and travel retail sector, which is gearing up for a full-scale return of its annual summit, TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference, from 7 to 11 May 2023 in Singapore.

The event, organised by the Tax Free World Association (TFWA), will bring together over 300 exhibiting brands, key buyers, airports, cruise & ferry operators and airlines from across the region and beyond. It will also feature a comprehensive conference programme, a dedicated meeting service, a digital innovation showcase and a range of networking opportunities.

The TFWA Asia Pacific Conference, held on 8 May at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, will examine how the duty free and travel retail industry can harness the momentum of the region’s recovery and ride the wave of growth.

The TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition, held from 9 to 11 May at the same venue, will showcase a wide range of products from various categories such as confectionery, fine food, electronics, fashion, accessories, jewellery, watches, perfumes, cosmetics, tobacco, wine and spirits. The exhibition will also feature new exhibitors that are looking to enter or expand their presence in the region.

The exhibition will be complemented by the ONE2ONE meeting service, which organises introductory encounters between exhibiting brands and potential partners. The service is designed to facilitate business connections and foster long-term relationships.

The event will also offer several networking opportunities for the attendees to mingle and socialise with their peers and industry leaders. The Welcome Cocktail on 7 May at the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay will set the tone for the event with a spectacular backdrop of exotic plants and flowers.
