Hidden behind the fridge door of an unassuming local cafe, The Dragon Chamber is an immersive, one-of-a-kind hidden restaurant, reminiscent of old-time Chinatown gambling dens and secret society hangouts. They serve guerrilla-style food that brings back age-old unconventional Chinese dishes.
A secret Chinoiserie-punk dining venue hiding in plain sight, The Dragon Chamber is an intriguing paradox where a distinctly young and irreverent spirit meets a deeply respect for roots and traditions.
That intrigue deepens with the introduction of new offerings. Expect more of what you love, with new variations of the most popular dishes: such as applying the challenging oil-blanching technique for the wildly popular dish of crisp-scaled kinmedai on threadfin and Hamachi collar for greater variety. There will also dishes that Dragon Chamber Head Chef Wong Meng Vooi personally loves: such as an addicting Hamachi Collar in Dragon Curry, inspired by chef’s favourite Indonesian style curry.

Also expect brand new offerings that are deliciously unique, yet with a universal appeal to everybody, from 90 year-old granny to 9 year-old junior and all in between. A Milk Cracker Lemon Chicken offers a non-spicy variation of Dragon Chamber’s hot favourite of Firecracker Chicken: deep-fried slices of chicken is served with crushed milk crackers and peanuts topped with lemon sauce for a comfortingly familiar flavour profile with a twist.
A perfect seafood counterpart to the signature of wagyu truffle beef horfun, the Soft Shell Crab With Scallop Crispy Noodles, elevates a zichar classic to new heights, literally, with a theatrical “flying noodle” presentation. It is similarly elevated in taste through the use of premium seafood, and the dish is finished with a luscious coating of a seafood gravy made from prawn head stock. To bring this brand of fun deliciousness accessible to even more, Dragon Chamber also offers Green Rebel meat-free options for a selection of our dishes, such as a Vegetarian Milk Cracker Lemon Chicken and a Vegetarian Flaming Pineapple Beef.
Completing your experience are a spectrum of fun libations. Sip on a refreshing Dragonfruit — a blend of mildly citrusy Brass Lion Dry gin, subtly floral Lillet Blanc, Prosecco, dragonfruit puree, and lime juice — as an aperitif. Match The Jade (Moutai, pineapple, lemon, blue curacao) with your meal, or finish the evening with a digestif of Martin’s Highball (Remy Martin 1738, grape cordial, lemon, orange bitters).
