USANA Health Sciences operates in 18 markets: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, France, Belgium, and the United States. I recently tried some of their skin care products and here’s the review.

USANA’s NEW brightening series, USANA CELAVIVE is one unique blend of scientifically proven, latest cutting-edge active ingredients to deliver perfectly luminous skin targeting different stages of hyperpigmentation.

• EXFOLIATING SCRUB + MASK (80g – S$39.00) – This scrub and mask penetrates the skin to unclog pores with charcoal, that helps to detoxify the skin by acting as a magnet to attract dirt and pollution, resulting in minimized pore sizes. It consists of Camellia Japonica flower extract that is rich in antioxidants to help fight ageing effects of free radicals, repairs damage from overexposure to pollutants, and to achieve a firmer, healthier looking skin.
  The exfoliating scrub + mask also uses an exclusive Olivol Botanical Blend that includes USANA’s unique Olivol olive-fruit extract that infuses your skin with rich, long-lasting moisture for 24 hours, and helps to reduce the appearance of dry or flaky skin. To further hydrate the skin, Saccaharide Isomerate, a plant-based water-binding emollient, helps support your skin’s natural moisture and reduces the appearance of wrinkles up to 79.3%.

• DARK SPOT CORRECTOR (15g – S$55.00) –This is an intensive treatment for dark spots and hyper pigmentation. The Dark Spot Corrector consists of Niacinamide and Aspergillus Ferment that consists of a brightening feature, which helps suppress unwanted melanin production to defend against the appearance of dark spots. It also visibly brightens and balances out your skin tone by using powerful brightening ingredients, such as Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate and Tocopherol, to correct skin discoloration and prevents cellular ageing and skin damage caused by UV exposure.
  The Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is also vital in brightening and consists of anti-acne and anti-ageing capabilities. When combined with the other key ingredients, it has a superior percutaneous absorption and stability. It is suitable for all skin type, contains no harsh chemicals and it is paraben-free.

• LIGHT COMPLEXION SERUM (30g – S$95.00) – This serum contains a high performance, advanced brightening formula that helps to refine the overall skin complexion with concentrated ingredients. It helps to visibly correct the appearance of discoloration and hyperpigmentation, with key ingredients such as Niacinamide, a Vitamin B with brightening features that suppresses the appearance of melanin and reduces any signs of ageing due to UV exposure, grows the skin’s lipid barrier to retain moisture and keeps the skin firm and healthy. It also consists of Licorice Root Extract to help inhibit the activity of tyrosinase and melanin pigment synthesis and enhances the skin to look brighter. It has Angelic Acutiloba Root Extract to disperse the melanin in the cell, so that the melanin becomes invisible to the eye.

• LUMINOUS MOISTURE CREAM (30g – S$70) – This cream contains an opulent formula that helps to treat pigmentation concerns while brightening, hydrating and softening your skin. It disrupts the process of pigment rising to the surface, and helps to ensure a brighter, more balanced complexion. It also restores moisture, firms and smoothens the skin. Potent ingredients such as Blancys, a unique mixture of sugar and amino acids to reduce COX2 expression, is a key inflammatory signal that promotes melanin transfer. It has Squalane that maintains skin moisture barrier and helps in hydration and anti-aging. This acts as a natural moisture evaporation blocker by formulating a protective membrane to strengthen the skin barrier.

With four simple products, I started to see the gradual improvements of skin revealing healthier and brighter skin complexion.
