InterContinental Singapore debuts an exclusive collection of snow skin mooncakes that celebrate the hotel’s rich heritage, and deep-seated roots in the heart of the historic and cultural district of Bugis.
Crafted around classic Peranakan desserts, the new snow skin mooncakes are delicately formed in Man Fu Yuan’s signature blooming rose silhouette, encasing irresistible flavours include Chendol, comprising Gula Melaka with Red Bean, Coconut, and Pandan Jelly; Pulut Hitam, made of Dark Glutinous Rice with Candied Longan, and Coconut; Durian Pengat filled with Durian Cream, Gula Melaka, and Butterfly-pea; and Pandan and Coconut Kaya, featuring fragrant Pandan Kaya Jam, with a Coconut Kaya Jam centre.

Those with a taste for the traditional may select from a variety of six baked mooncake flavours including White Lotus Paste with Double or Single Yolk, Red Lotus Paste with Double or Single Yolk, Low-Sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts; or Assorted Nuts – a wholesome blend of almonds, walnuts, macadamia, and sesame seeds.

To further highlight the heritage theme of the collection, the mooncakes are presented in elegant tingkat carriers – traditional tiered lunch boxes – which unveil a delightful confection as each layer is revealed. The tingkat carriers are given a modern update with striking blush and turquoise hues, and feature subtle Peranakan design motifs drawn from architectural elements that give the hotel its recognisable façade.

Man Fu Yuan’s mooncakes are available for purchase until 28 September 2020 at InterContinentalShoppe.sg; 7 August to 1 October 2020 at the Man Fu Yuan Shoppe, located at the Level 1 entrance of InterContinental Singapore from Bugis Junction.
