Back by popular demand since its debut during National Day last year, Table Restaurant & Bar managed by Rang Mahal Restaurants is delighted to bring back its India street food specialties. Starting 8 February, on Saturdays and Sundays, diners will get to enjoy the most representative street food dishes at $12++ each, originating from six cities spanning Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar to Pune, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.

“When we first launched the street food fiesta in August last year, we had received such overwhelming support from our diners that we extended it for another week; this time, we have retained eight of the most popular dishes featuring an assortment of flavours and textures prepared from fresh and wholesome ingredients,” said Mrs Ritu Jhunjhnuwala, Managing Director of Rang Mahal Restaurants.

On the menu, one can expect the return of Jaipur’s Pink City Raj Kachori, a large crispy puff filled with mixed lentils yoghurt and chutneys. Equally well-known is Mumbai’s Tad Deo Pao Bhajee featuring a pan-fried patty of mashed vegetables tucked between two savoury buns toasted with India’s Amul butter.

“More than just a snack, street food represents a way of life in India – we are pleased to know that our guests not only enjoyed the dishes during the inaugural launch, but also gained a greater understanding of India’s food culture and this is what we aim to achieve at Table Restaurant & Bar – we are ecstatic to prepare our dishes with love and would like our diners to cherish these fun and joyful moments with an experience that transcends beyond a memorable meal.” added Mrs Ritu.

Furthermore, in conjunction with World Margarita Day taking place on 22 February, Table Restaurant & Bar will be featuring six homemade margarita creations; in addition to the classic margarita, tequila fans may look forward to a variety of fresh and crisp flavours in new concoctions. For a taste of sweetness, opt for the Mango and Lychee concoctions while the Cumin and Tamarind margaritas serve up more smoky flavours with ingredients of masala, tamarind and cumin powders as well as tamarind paste respectively.

The India street food weekend promotion is available on Saturdays and Sundays, from 12.00pm to 10.30pm. The special margarita menu will be available daily from 22 February to 31 March 2020.

Dishes are available at $12++ each and margaritas are priced at $15++ per glass. A pairing of a street food dish and margarita is available at $20++.
