Driving sports and fashion together, Porsche Singapore and its official clothing partner, HUGO BOSS, will tee off their next collaboration, co-hosting the first Porsche x BOSS Pavilion at the 2020 SMBC Singapore Open. Held at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club from 16th to 19th January 2020, this marks the second year for Porsche as the event’s Official Automotive Partner.
Located at Hole 17, the Porsche x BOSS Pavilion offers a sweeping view of the action, with the sporty Panamera GTS and iconic 911 Carrera S providing the perfect backdrop to the game. Guests will be treated to a premium hospitality suite experience at the Pavilion, while witnessing the excitement across the golf course.
Rounding up the spectacular Porsche line-up, the new Cayenne Coupé – the athlete among SUVs – will be welcoming guests at the Suites@18th. There will also be a fleet of 20 Macan vehicles chauffeuring the world’s best golf players and tournament officials in style.
BOSS Golf Ambassador and Major Champion, Henrik Stenson is a new addition to the SMBC Singapore Open this year. Englishman Justin Rose, Matt Kuchar, Japan’s Prince of golf, Ryo Ishikawa, and top players from the Asian and Japan Tours will also compete in this year’s US$1 million tournament.
Henrik Dreier, General Manager – Singapore, Porsche Asia Pacific, said, “Porsche and golf share the same dedication to technique, precision, and passion, and we are thrilled to be part of SMBC Singapore Open for the second year, especially alongside our global clothing partner, HUGO BOSS. We look forward to witnessing more shared iconic moments with this combination of high performance sports cars, fashion and sport.”
Porsche has been active in the world of professional golf since 2015, when Porsche staged the Porsche European Open for the first time, to the title sponsorship of the European Tour Event in Germany. Porsche has also been supporting amateur golf since 1988, through the global Porsche Golf Cup and the Porsche Generations Open, an innovative nine-hole format for amateurs from two generations. As one of the world’s most successful sports car manufacturers, Porsche has always been intrinsically involved with sports on a global level.
Jason Lim, General Manager of Stuttgart Auto said, “The Porsche brand stands for unparalleled quality and it’s an honour for us to be part of the SMBC Singapore Open, a world renowned sporting event . Beyond owning a sports car, a large part of owning a Porsche is being part of a community to share lifestyle experiences such as this.”
Patrick Feizal Joyce, Senior Vice President, Golf – APAC, Lagardѐre Sports said, “As our Official Automotive Partner for the second year, Porsche elevates the offerings of the SMBC Singapore Open by bringing unique and exceptional experiences for our golfers and guests, and we look forward to working together to take this award-winning tournament to the next level.”
