Pan Pacific Singapore debuts experiential red packets incorporating augmented reality (AR), offering revellers an element of fun during this festive period.
Pan Pacific Singapore’s red packet design portrays a beautiful illustration of blooming peonies, also referred to as the “King of Flowers’, signifying blossoming wealth, good fortune, happiness and prosperity.
This year, the hotel collaborated with 14-year-old Tee Xyn Pyn Angel, a Young Budding Artist with 10 Square Youth (supported by The Business Times Budding Artist Fund), to design the AR animation on the key peony illustration incorporated into its Chinese New Year red packets and brochure. When viewed through the Artivive App via smartphone or tablet, a lively oriental soundtrack plays, the peonies bloom to life and viewers will witness a butterfly with yellow and black wings fluttering around the flowers.
All guests who partake in the hotel’s Chinese New Year dining offerings or purchase Chinese New Year goodies from now till 8 February 2020 will receive a set of eight red packets and a carrier bag.
