Kinou comes from the nickname of Chef-Owner Benjamin Tilatti’s mum, who inspired him to travel the world and ignited his passion for food and cooking. The restaurant-bar is meant to be a home away from home, featuring a menu inspired by fond memories of international dishes ranging from ceviche to tartare and tomahawk. Its beverages range from classic to creative cocktails with cheeky monikers. The multi-concept space, which also includes a members’ lounge and event space, comes with fun environs and great value that make each visit to Kinou one to look forward to.
GLOBE-TROTTING ON A PLATE
Kinou has a diverse contemporary menu designed for sharing and to please every palate.
Some of their signature dishes :
Sourdough Bread

A Leggy Encounter
The seared octopus is slow cooked, soft and tender. This is absolutely a delicious dish to start off a meal.

Kinou Prawning Spot
Kinou Prawning Spot charges up the senses with prawns simmered in garlic oil to fragrant perfection. If you like, you can soak up the remaining garlic oil with some bread.

Bone To Be Wild
Bone To Be Wild is a buttery roasted beef marrow on the bone with sourdough toast and pickled greens, served with a shot of Tennessee whisky through the bone – this is just the beginning to a fun and spontaneous night for one and all.

The ceviches and tartares at Kinou can be mixed and matched into platters of three, five or seven options, where the more one orders, the better the value. Kinou, Lost in Peru ($22++) for example, features the freshest fish of the day with a leche de tigre marination, paired with a creamy and sweet corn guacamole. Or, savour classics such as the Kinou Signature Beef Tartare ($20++), made with black angus tenderloin. Share in the joy with the Vegan Nightmare Platter ($99++) for three to four people featuring favourites like Wagyu ribeye, Margaret duck breast, Wagyu and Lamb Merguez sausages, Kinou’s Signature Burger, and mixed salad to alleviate the guilt; go big and add on a hearty Australian grass-fed Angus Tomahawk ($90++per kg) for good measure.

The sweet-toothed can dig into Something French. Definitely one to save room for.
DRINKING THE WORLD OVER

Wash down one’s meal with one of the drinks from Kinou’s extensive list of thirst quenchers ranging from over 150 varieties of wine, and a large selection of cocktails. Each drink is great money for value too. Cocktails come with the New York pour of 60ml – a good double of the typical 30ml pour.
In the Mason Jar selection, find interesting concoctions such as Ruby ($20++ for 6cl., $35++ for 15cl.), which is refreshingly built with vanilla vodka, herb and spice liqueur, mango puree as well as fresh watermelon and cranberry juice. For martinis with a twist, one option lies in The Last Minute ($22++), which comprises vodka, Grand Marnier and apricot brandy with a tangy, nuanced mix of mango puree, orange and fresh coriander.
PRIVATE SPACES TO CALL HOME

Karousel, Private event space on level 2
In September, Kinou will be launching two new concepts on level two. Karousel, is a one-of-kind intimate private event space with a creative, customisable setup, where one approach is to have live cooking “performed” in the centre of up to 18 seated guests for lunch or dinner. The layout can also be re-arranged for cocktail parties to boardroom-style conferences.

Konnoisseur is a sleek lounge, where one can savour exclusive and premium wine, champagnes, whiskies and sake.

Exclusive and premium Rum

Chef-Owner Benjamin Tilatti
Taking notes from his travels to over 40 countries around the globe, 33-year-old Benjamin Tilatti creates home away from home at Kinou – a four-in-one concept space lovingly named after his mother. Inspired by her love for travel and cooking, Chef Benjamin gathers his experiences with various cultures, flavours and ingredients, and transforms them into vibrant, refined plates. Growing up tending to gardens and livestock with both his Italian and French grandmothers, he shares that his culinary roots are greatly influenced by both cultures.
More than just a restaurant-bar
Kinou’s charming team makes guests feel right at home from the moment they set foot into the space. By infusing myriad experiences for different personalities and passions, and by keeping prices affordable, dinner, drinks and events will always be a warm and welcoming affair at Kinou.
Kinou is more than just a restaurant-bar, it also comprises Konnoisseur, an elegant lounge with exclusive, premium selections of spirits, wine and sake for its guests; and Karousel, a private event space where live cooking is offered. So Kinou is a multi-faceted lifestyle concept, a place to share moments and to experience ‘home’ through the eyes and palate of Chef Benjamin Tilatti.
