FENDI celebrates love and luxury in the Prefall 2018 Collection. Striking a balance between pure elegance and style extravaganza, the collection exudes a sense of empowered and polished modern femininity.
The FENDI Prefall 2018 woman is a ‘Queen of Hearts’. She is charming, magnetic and attractive. She is fun, ironic but always elegant and passionate about details.
Hearts steal the spotlight. Infused with an artsy feel, the iconic symbol pops up on a wide range of signature garments, from the easy-chic sweatshirts and the cozy Fair Island-inspired sweaters to the upscale fur coats. Hearts appear in the jacquard motifs of a voluminous coat with fur accents. Mink fur hearts punctuate a sumptuous leather cape cut by hand, as well as a printed shaved mink fur coat. A hyper feminine halter neck dress reveals a seductive heart-shaped bodice, while heart padlocks are the colorful intarsia decors enriching a striped mink fur coat.
Silhouettes are sharp and precise. Liner or a-line skirts together with straight or oversize pants. The attention is on the shoulders, which become the focal point for a discreet seduction. Jackets feature wide lapels and necklines, blouses and dresses reveal sensual cut-out details, while delicate frocks are peppered by off-the-shoulder trompe-l’oeil illusions.
A touch of globe-trotting exoticism runs through the lineup. Colorful Madras patterns are rendered in a chic, wintery version, while West African Dutch wax prints get a pop makeover or inspire a hyper sophisticated floral motif of graphic dandelions.
An homage to the company’s heritage, a squared macro version of the 1974’s FF logo standouts on a mink fur bomber and another vintage circular logo is embellished with crystals on a T-shirt.
A sense of urban dynamism is introduced via denim pieces, which are treated with a sartorial approach, including an impeccable blazer enriched by mink fur cuffs.
FF logo hats in mink and shearling underline the comeback of the FF logo adding a cozy touch.
Timeless elegance and practical functionality are at the core of the bags lineup. A new bag is introduced – the smart style features magnets enabling to quickly transform its silhouette.
The reworked Madras pattern is rendered in interwoven leather on a Kan I F bag and on the Runaway graphic tote and its mini version together with the leather embossed FF logo in color contrast or tone on tone, with a circular straw handle. The FF logo squared pattern is worked in shearling on Baguette and Peekaboo bags or in shiny paillettes on Micro Peekaboo. The Kan I bag makes also her appearance in a special ‘tappetino’ velvet carpet-like workmanship, with iconic hearts. The Mon Trésor bag in leather, exotics, Madras and velvet with crystals becomes more and more the FENDI evening bag together with the Douplette bag, a two sizes pochette coupled by a F is FENDI logo hook. Exotic skins and heart-shaped intarsia are combined on a Mini Kan I with scalloped edges. The Backpack is presented in leather with F is FENDI logo.
The iconic Strap You adds on its unique touch with lace-up, inlays, velvet ‘carpet like’ workmanships and with a gold metal FENDI logo details.
FENDI’s iconic sensual Rockoko boots are presented in a combination of leather and knitted fabric showing the squared FF logo. The signature sock-shoes also get a Western makeover becoming cowboy boots featuring a combination of Madras jacquard and a patchwork of exotic skins. Pointed-toe sling-backs, crafted from a mix and match of thermo-stitched ribbons, reveal the sinuous Colibrì heel and are embellished with sporty touches. The collection’s signature hearts inspire the cutout details of a feminine open-toe sandal.
The F is FENDI logo is the protagonist of the fashion jewelry collection, where hoop earrings are presented in maxi e mini versions and tiny rings are punctuated by multicolor diamonds. A new range of pearl-focused pendants is inspired by the zodiac signs.
