Tomo Izakaya: Calling All Couples for the Valentine’s Day Challenge – Win a Free Plate of Boston “Lovester” Omurice Weighing 2kg!

Tomo Izakaya is hosting a Valentine’s Day Challenge and is inviting all couples to take it up!  It features the Boston Lobster Omurice Served with Akita-style Ketchup Fried Rice (S$58++). Originating from Japan, omurice is an omelette that explodes and oozes goodness when cut into. Tomo Izakaya’s rendition showcases the fresh and juicy Boston lobster. A moreish lobster cream sauce drenches the medley of plump mussels; ika (squid); tiger prawns; as well as hotate (scallop) and asari (clams) imported from Japan. For the Valentine’s Day Challenge, if a couple can finish this dish, which weighs 2kg, in under 25 minutes, the omurice is free!

Besides the omurice, Tomo Izakaya will also unveil the Boston Lobster Yusheng (Dine-in: S$68++ / Takeaway: S$68+), just in time for Chinese New Year. This offering comprises whole lobster chunks made with up to 550 grams of Boston lobster; tobiko; Japanese kurage (jelly fish); Japanese seasoned ginger and seaweed pickles; grounded peanut and sesame. The ingredients are pulled together by a tasty blend of plum sauce and olive oil. Toss to wealth, abundance and health!

Tomo Izakaya has also launched a new lunch menu, with the Claypot Fried Rice as one of the main highlights. The squid, prawn, crab stick and vegetables are enlivened by aromatic truffle and soused in a delectable starch-based thick soup. The soup pairs impeccably with the al dente and fragrant rice. Other mainstays include the Sliced Pork Strips with Bamboo Shoot and Mushroom, Served with Akita-style Fried Rice and Pork Sauce; and Akita-style Mixed Seafood Fried Rice Served with Seafood Sauce, which features a medley of squid, prawn, scallop, crab stick, truffle and vegetables. Both dishes each come with spicy pickles, scallions and fried garlic.
