Pinot Palooza, Australia’s largest Pinot Noir and music festival, officially arrives in Singapore on Saturday 25 November 2017 for the first time ever!
The event, which made its debut in Melbourne in 2012, is the world’s first touring
Pinot Noir festival. Founded by Dan Sims, a well-known wine commentator, educator
and personality in Australia and Revel Global (formerly known as Bottle Shop
Concepts); Pinot Palooza has travelled across Australia and New Zealand, landing this
year in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Wellington, Auckland and
Christchurch. Singapore is the first city in Asia to host the event.
“This is a party where everyone is invited. Fun first, facts second , ” says Sims, Director
of Revel Global. “Singapore as a market is incredibly exciting. Australian wine in
particular is popular in Singapore. 38 per cent of all wine consumed is Australian. It’s a
real logical step to launch here,” he adds.

Plenty of Pinot Noir & Amazing Bites
Held at the Annexe Studio at Esplanade, the first edition of Pinot Palooza in Singapore
will showcase some of the hottest wineries from both New World and Old World
wine countries including Australia, New Zealand, Italy, France, South Africa and
United States. With close to a hundred of the best Pinot Noirs available for tasting,
pinotphiles can sample a broad range of styles and pick their favourites on that day.

Winemakers joining the inaugural event in Singapore include the ‘People’s Choice’
winners from Australia and New Zealand such as Mt Difficulty, Henschke, Moondarra,
Vinteloper and Journey, amongst others. Other wineries to look out for include Felton
Road from New Zealand, Franz Haas from Italy, La Forge Estate from France and
Sanford Santa Rita Hills from United States. Festival goers will also get to cast their
vote for their favourite Pinot Noir for the Singapore edition of the ‘People’s Choice’ on
festival day for a chance to win prizes.
“Think of Pinot Palooza as a pop up winery cellar door. You get to meet the makers and
buy their wines, connecting directly with them. Most stands will also be selling their
wine and having special discount prices on the day,” reveals Sims.
Those looking to fill their tummies can also indulge in perfect Pinot-pairing food by
Meat Smith , who will be selling bites such as 12-Smoked Brisket Sandwich and
Smoked Pork Ribs.

Soak Up The Music
To keep the beats dropping while the wine is flowing, DJ Krishan P and DJ Matty
Wainwright will be pumping out music from all genres including house, soul to good
old disco. Between the both of them, they have played at some of the hottest events
and places, including London Fashion Week and Café Mambo in Ibiza.
“2017 is a game-changing year for Pinot Palooza. It’s the biggest Palooza in its history.
Not only are we expanding to include more cities in Australia and New Zealand, we’re
taking it to Singapore and have our eyes on Hong Kong and the United States,” says
Sims.
