Paying tribute to Singapore’s rich history as a sleepy fishing village and port for spice trade, Summer Palace Dim Sum Chef Leong Kwok Sing welcomes the annual Mid-Autumn Festival with an exquisite mooncake collection of perennial favourites and two new spiced snow skin variants: Pineapple Pink Peppercorn and Cinnamon Red Bean.

This year’s theme of “Mid-Autumn Flavours”is showcased in yet another unique
carry-and-go mooncake box design. A structured box made out of premium fine-grained pine wood, the box is a creative interpretation of a spice carrier, with scenes of old Singapore intricately etched in an illustration that reminisces the spice trade commerce on the Singapore River in the 1800s. Red and neutral wood shades perfectly complement for a most elegant look; a statement piece for a Mid-Autumn gift to family, friends and business partners.

Mooncakes will be encased in gold-tinted tins which can be reused as airtight spice
containers; giving an innovative touch to this assembly of a reusable and multi-purpose spice box that will be a fine adornment for kitchens at home. Inspired by Singapore’s rich history as entrepôt for spice trade in the early 1800s, guests will delight in the new mini snow skin mooncake introductions that are filled with delectably smooth and fragrant lotus seed paste centre, perfectly infused with distinct hints of spices for

Pineapple and Pink Peppercorn delivers sweet and sharp notes that will excite the
senses. Bite into an unconventional but stand-out powder soft chilli-infused skin that hits all the right notes to awaken the palate. Relish a delicate tangy pineapple paste and the beautiful textures of dried pineapple, wrapped over a peppery pink peppercorn chocolate pearl core.
On the other hand, Chef’s Cinnamon Red Bean with Spiced Wine snow skin mooncake
brings about more mellow tastes with its slightly sweet and earthy composition; a delightful blend of red bean paste filling and spiced wine ganache wrapped in a soft cinnamon spice infused snow skin.

Not to be missed as well are signature snow skin selections –Black Sesame Paste with
Melon Seeds, fragrant Green Tea with Melon Seeds, the classic White Lotus Paste
