FOUR SEASONS HOTEL SINGAPORE PRESENTS EXQUISITE SELECTION OF SIGNATURE MOONCAKES
Four Seasons Hotel Singapore has launched a carefully curated selection of traditional favourites and limited edition mooncakes. Handcrafted by skilled chefs with premium ingredients, the mooncakes are housed in an elegant box that showcases an art inspired dress motif. Developed by the Hotel’s award-winning Cantonese restaurant, Jiang-Nan Chun, the coveted cakes will be available from 6th September to 4th October 2017.
This year’s limited edition creations include the finest “Bird Nest with Custard” and king of fruit “Mao Shan Wang Durian” snowskin mooncakes. The signature baked selection includes the signature “Smoked Duck with Assorted Nuts and Lime” mooncake, inspired by Jiang-Nan Chun’s signature Peking Duck which is prepared in a mesquite wood-fire oven.
UNIQUE ART INSPIRED BOX
The mooncakes are packaged in an ornate red box which has been skilfully carved to reveal a blue silk dress inspired by the Straits Chinese Wedding Robe art piece that hangs in Jiang-Nan Chun. The back of the box showcases design elements that link back to the restaurants architectural design, with blue water elements and modern fishnet motifs. The top of the box is finished in an elegant rose gold stamp with the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore logo.
Lift the lid of the box to reveal a sleek baby blue cylinder that slides open to expose four bronze mooncake compartments.
Executed to perfection, the aesthetically-pleasing box makes an elegant gift for business associates, friends and family.
BAKED SKIN SELECTIONS
The champion of this year’s baked selection is Jiang-Nan Chun’s signature “Smoked Duck with Assorted Nuts and Lime” baked skin mooncake, other limited edition signatures include “Osmanthus Oo Long Tea Paste and Melon Seed”, “Fuji Apple Paste with Melon Seed and Single Yolk” and “Six Grains with Lotus Paste”. Not only do these mooncakes look great, but each signature mooncake champions the nature flavour of ingredients and therefore less sugar is needed.
Classic best sellers such as “Silver Lotus Past with Double Yolks and Melon Seeds” and “Lotus Paste with Honey and Pine Nuts” will also be available. Each mooncake is made using premium silver lotus of the highest quality. As the lotus is young and fresh, a lower quantity of oil and sugar is used in the creation of the paste, making it a healthier option for all ages.
For consumers who find it hard to pick just one of the delicious baked flavours, Four Seasons is offering a medley collection. Each box consists of “Silver Lotus Paste with Double Yolks and Melon Seeds”, “Black Sesame and Silver Lotus Paste with Walnuts”,“Osmanthus Oo Long Tea Paste and Melon Seed” and “Six Grains with Lotus Paste”.
SNOW SKIN SELECTIONS
Traditionally known to have a number of health attributes such as enhancing skin complexion, the limited edition “Bird Nest with Custard” mooncake is itself a work of art. The only mooncake to be created in a unique dress mould that matches the exterior of the box, the soft smooth taste of the custard perfectly compliment the generous serving of bird nest in the centre of the cake.
Let the “Raspberry Praline” mooncake surprise your taste buds as a bite into this soft snowskin will unveil complex fruity flavours enveloped in chocolate. Fans of Four Seasons Singapore’s best-selling Hazelnut Royaltine cake can also indulge in the “Hazelnut Royaltine & Milk Tea” mooncake – a sweet blend of the crunchy Jivara Chocolate Praline Base combined with fragrant hazelnut and completed with rich Valrhona dark chocolate mousse.
