
JAAN is derived from the ancient Sanskrit word for ‘bowl’. The intimate 40 seat restaurant has a sophisticated interior that features an elegant private dining room for exclusive events. Two things set it apart from other fine dining restaurants : the breathtaking view of Singapore’s scenic landscape as well as the truly exquisite culinary and service experience that have become the hallmark of this multi-award winning restaurant.

KRUG Grande-Cuvee, as you taste it, notes of toasted bread, hazelnut, nougat, barley sugar and jellied fruits may take you by surprise. You may even taste hints of apples still on the tree, flowers in bloom, ripe and dried fruit, almonds, marzipan, gingerbread, sweet spices and even brioche and honey.
You will notice its exceptional freshness in the mouth, with rich and tangy flavours of lemon and grapefruit enhanced by the subtlety of its fine and elegant bubbles. Krug Grande Cuvée age beautifully. What a beautiful start to a 10 course dinner.

First three items, Foie Gras and Truffle Macron, Smoked Mackerel Blini, Mussels on the beach, Charlotte potato, truffle bouillon.




The term Fine Dining brings to mind all kinds of images, from crisp white table cloths to waiters in tuxedos. Fine dining, just as the name suggests, offers patrons the finest in food, service and atmosphere. It is extremely difficult to really describe how such dishes taste like because its often a mixture of food and spices and cooked different, then placed together before tasting it.
Through this process you really get multi dimension flavour. Pair that with wine and you are in such a perfect state of mind you feel like you are in heaven.
So to begin on this journey .
Have some warm steaming bread with special butter.

First course Alaskan King Crab with Pea panna cotta, caviar.
Pair with light white wine from SANCERRE


2nd course Heirloom Tomato with Burrata artigiana.
That is the best tomato I have ever eaten. I never knew tomato can be so delicious. Mix them up and eat them together, pair that with another light white wine.


3rd course Warm Beetroot jus
Drink this like a tea. You will taste the truffle as the jus slide down your throat. So smooth. Before you knew it, the cup is empty.

4th course Eggs and Bacon, pair that with INVITARE
Someone told me JAAN is famous for its EGG. Well , that is true, the EGG taste great, it must be due to the way it is cooked. Swallow it with the pairing wine.


5th course Scottish Scallop in Shellfish broth, pair that with TORRES
The texture of the scallop is light, smooth, fresh. Goes well with the Torres


6th course Line Caught Snapper with veal sweet bread, fennel.
Another light fresh texture. You can’t get enough.



7th Course is Sanchoku Wagyu Purple Artichoke.
Slice the wagyu thin and put them in your mouth, it melts immediately. Swallow with pairing wine .


8th course WARM BRIE truffle salad.
Finally the sweet dessert wine appear , signalling the coming end of the 10 courses


9th course Amalfi Lemon Granite.
Refreshing lemon, you get to keep the lemon for next morning tea.

10 course Wild Spring Strawberry with Timut pepper sorbet

11th course coconut

Perfect end with some sweet.

Overall we totally enjoyed this 10 course journey. Well its actually more than 10 but who is counting. The secret to enjoying such fine dining, you must allocate enough time. Bite in small portion, goes down with pairing wine. You will appreciate the hard work of the chef combining such wonderful variety together. You can call it an master piece.
