Ferragamo Vara Exhibits: Celebrate Vara’s Enduring Elegance First in Singapore

Ferragamo, a longtime partner at Paragon, marks the mall’s 25th anniversary by proudly unveiling the installation of the Vara shoe in Singapore, starting a bold new chapter for one of the brand’s most iconic women’s shoes. Paragon is the perfect stage for the first celebration of Vara’s enduring elegance and fashion-forward spirit.

From the magic of Hollywood in the 1920s to today’s international runways, Ferragamo creations have graced the world’s greatest style icons, becoming an integral part of their legend. The exhibit features eleven historic iconic shoes, including six signature designs by founder Salvatore Ferragamo between 1938 and 1959: the celebrated Rainbow sandal for Judy Garland; the mirrored wedge for Carmen Miranda; the Invisible Sandal which won the Neiman Marcus Award; the Kimo sandal with detachable silk socks; the high-heeled pumps worn by Marilyn Monroe and the suede ballerina designed for Audrey Hepburn.

Originally introduced in 1978 by Fiamma Ferragamo, Vara has become a manifesto of “Femininity Ferragamo” – a harmonious blend of elegance, comfort, and versatility and the Vara shoe is celebrated for its timeless design, featuring the signature grosgrain bow and stacked heel.

The Ferragamo Vara Exhibit explores Vara’s journey across the past, present, and future, highlighting the shoe design by Fiamma Ferragamo alongside contemporary reinterpretations from recent collections. These new silhouettes and materials from Pre-Spring 2026 reflect the evolving spirit of Vara, created with today’s confident and multi-faceted woman in mind. Guests will also witness craftsmanship firsthand as a Ferragamo artisan, arriving directly from Florence for the Vara celebration, will illustrate on-site the  shoemaking process – bringing the brand’s heritage to life.

The installation will be open from now until 21st September at Paragon Level 1 Atrium.
