Riding Waves of Change: Blue Water EduFest Returns, Championing Coastal Conservation in Singapore
Empowering Eco-Champions for a Sustainable Ocean Future
The eagerly anticipated second edition of the Blue Water EduFest, a pioneering marine conservation event organized by ONE°15 Marina, is set to make a significant splash in Singapore from November 2 to 4, 2023.
Following the resounding success of its inaugural event last year, which united stakeholders to forge a connected community with a shared commitment to ocean conservation, the Blue Water EduFest is back with renewed vigour. This event, hosted at the stunning ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, will provide a crucial platform for all stakeholders to join forces in safeguarding our oceans and coastlines. Its central mission is to empower young and fearless eco-champions across Southeast Asia, who will, in turn, drive impactful marine conservation efforts.
A Unified Front for Ocean Conservation
Blue Water EduFest 2023 is presented by Citi Private Bank, with the support of Sentosa Development Corporation and in partnership with The International SeaKeepers Society. The event is geared to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, yacht owners, entrepreneurs, eco-visionaries, media influencers, and ocean enthusiasts who share a deep passion for coastal and marine conservation.
Arthur Tay, CEO and Executive Director of SUTL Enterprise and the visionary behind Blue Water EduFest, emphasized the significance of ocean conservation, saying, “The ocean lies at the very heart of our business and operations. Through Blue Water EduFest 2023, I aim to rally our collaborators, stakeholders, and the yachting community to unite and protect our oceans and coastlines for future generations.”
A Confluence of Ideas and Action
The event’s hallmark, The Ocean Collective Summit, is a two-day conference organized in collaboration with The International SeaKeepers Society and The Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Centre. Esteemed international and regional speakers will engage in keynote speeches, panel discussions, and fireside chats to underscore the importance of marine conservation and protection.
Julian Chang, Board Member and President of The International SeaKeepers Society Asia, highlighted the collaborative spirit of the conference, stating, “This gathering will unite changemakers, advocates, and collaborators, empowering our community in the region to drive impactful change for our oceans.”
Honouring the Eco-Champions
An eagerly anticipated segment of Blue Water EduFest 2023 is the Blue Water Heroes Awards, powered by Tatler Gen.T. This prestigious ceremony celebrates the dedication of young individuals who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to marine preservation in Southeast Asia. Last year’s winners will share their ongoing research and conservation efforts, shedding light on the ongoing journey to safeguard our oceans.
Inspiring Real-world Impact
The event’s culmination will see participants joining hands in a community beach clean-up. This hands-on initiative will witness the active engagement of event attendees, partners, sponsors, ONE15 members, and students, working together to create a tangible impact through their collective effort.
With the generous support of influential stakeholders, partners, and sponsors including K3 Ventures and KIN, the Blue Water EduFest 2023 is poised to spark transformation, influence change, and catalyze impactful conservation efforts. K3 Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm, invests in technology start-ups and supports sustainability initiatives, while KIN, a leading sports events management company, shares a passion for fostering sustainability and environmental conservation.
The upcoming Blue Water EduFest seeks to ignite the spirit of empowerment among young and fearless eco-champions across Southeast Asia, pushing the boundaries of marine conservation.
