The Accor Group opened The Hotel Grand Mercure in Bali’s Seminyak Beach area on Monday, 19 December 2022. A branch of the first Hotel Grand Mercure in Bali, the new hotel has adopted an interior design that reflects Bali, its tropical locale, and Balinese culture.
Alessandro Migliore, general manager of Grand Mercure Bali, said: “We hope to introduce the authentic spirit of the ‘Island of the Gods’ to domestic and international visitors who wish to seek experiences, including meeting planners, right here, in the heart of Seminyak.” Continuing, Migliore said, “This hotel is strategically located for tourists and newcomers who want to enjoy the excitement and beauty of Bali.
The Hotel Grand Mercure is within easy reach of several Seminyak Beach Areas, such as Seminyak Beach and Mesari Beach, after a short walk. Also nearby are an extensive collection of trendy cafes, shopping centres, and houses of worship. The distance between Grand Mercure Hotel and Ngurah Rai International Airport is only 10 kilometres.
This hotel has 269 rooms with three different room types to accommodate visitors’ needs. The Deluxe Room and Junior Suite have a balcony overlooking the hotel’s garden and swimming pool, while the Executive Suite overlooks a beautiful sea view. Apart from that, there are also various hotel facilities that visitors can use, such as three choices of swimming pools, a fitness centre, a children’s area, a spa, a restaurant, and a ballroom covering 500 square meters, to a pool bar.
On the 19th Dec, we visited the hotel for dinner and have a look at the rooms as well. The large ballroom was very impressive and definitely suitable for large-scale events and MICE.
What is unique is the ground floor restaurant and buffet area, there is a pool area with dining tables, and you can walk into one of these for your meal. This will make you feel like a VIP. They looked stunning at night with all the neon lights, and I am sure it will look magnificent in the morning as well.
According to the management, they already have some large meetings lined up in Jan and Feb of 2023.
