MICHELIN-STARRED RESTAURANT JAG LAYS OUT AN EXTRAVAGANT FEAST THIS CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a celebration of good health, friends and family around a delicious feast. Restaurant JAG has planned just for this. Singapore’s only French omakase fine dining establishment has launched a series of Christmas culinary indulgences – from gourmet takeaway hampers for feasts at home to lavish dinner at the restaurant to get diners in the yuletide spirit.

JAG FESTIVE TAKEAWAY

$700++ for up to six diners

For hosts throwing a Christmas party for friends and family, a wholesome French heritage inspired Christmas feast is ready to plate at home and create precious memories. Two generous and sumptuous starters, perfect for sharing, sets the tone for the Christmas banquet.

The first appetiser is a whole Foie Gras Terrine (200-250 grams) accompanied with home-made apple chutney.

The second is an artisanal smoked salmon served with Chef Jeremy’s earthy beetroot variations and sour cream accentuated with Thym Citron.

Taking centre stage in this festive feast is the glorious Poulet de Bresse, roasted to perfection with a golden, cracking skin and succulent juicy meat.

Reared by only a handful of farmers from the Bresse region of Eastern France, this beautiful bird boasts the pinnacle of French food and wine standards. Still bred according to traditional methods, fed on locally grown grain mix and let to forage in the surrounding wild, Poulet de Bresse is guaranteed the finest chicken in the world.

The classic roasted meat is topped with generous shavings of luxurious black truffle. A rich selection of delicious trimmings include sautéed chestnuts, chestnut purée, braised pumpkin, creamy pumpkin purée, decadent truffle cream and potato confit.

French Christmas spread is never complete without a sweet finish. For this takeaway menu,  Chef Jeremy has prepared a decadent dark chocolate Bûche de Noël or the symbolic log cake. This traditional dessert is heavenly with a decadent hazelnut praline and sinfully luscious caramel sauce.

CHRISTMAS EVE AT JAG

EIGHT EXPRESSIONS – $350++ Per Person

 

Restaurant JAG has a one-night-only Christmas-Eve celebrations guaranteed to create a memorable French-inspired Christmas in Singapore in the company of the amazing JAG team!

Loved ones can gather in JAG’s warm dining room and let Chef Jeremy indulge them in a sumptuous feast. Eight beautiful dishes, heavily focusing on winter black truffles, have been honed to perfection. Using his distinct Savoie-herb led recipes and a luxuriant palate of stunning seasonal produce from the pristine mountains and independent farms in Northern France, this is a feast designed to celebrate good health, great friends and the love of family.

Diners will also be gifted a festive hamper of:

  • Christmas breakfast of fresh baked Bread, Homemade Butter, Chef Jeremy’s mother’s jam
    Hand-written and signed Christmas Menu
  • A bottle of personal scent from Maison 21G

Finally, New Year’s dinner has also been announced.

Restaurant JAG has curated a sophisticated New Year’s gourmet extravaganza for its guests. Eight-Expressions of an unforgettable menu has been beautifully planned to usher in the New Year.

A luxurious indulgence of white truffles, caviar and hand-picked seasonal ingredients will be unveiled to guests.

Diners will also be gifted a festive hamper of:

  • Bread, butter, jam, and a pack of six 60g organic, free-range Toretama eggs from Oita Prefecture, along with garnish for making omelette. The hamper will be accompanied with a card and QR code. The code will go to a link of a video of Chef showing how to make the perfect omelette.
