Get ready to end 2020 over a closely-knitted feast with loved ones. Sambal Hijau Turkey or Green Sambal Turkey is brought back by popular demand this year after overwhelming response from last year. It’s favoured for its aromatic spices and a tinge of spiciness from the sambal sauce. The turkey is served with nasi goreng, serunding, spiced chicken stuffing, sayur lodeh and sambal hijau kicap sauce. Each turkey serves up to 12 persons and it’s available at S$145+. For small cosy gatherings this year, pick the Japanese Miso Roast Chicken (S$40+), which is good for 8. Marinated with miso paste and seaweed and served with garlic fried rice, curry potatoes, carrot stew and sesame sauce, this dish promises to please palates of all ages.
A highly-anticipated logcake for this year is Burnt Cheese Log, uniquely features one of the most popular desserts on Carousel’s delivery menu. Valrhona chocolate creme and berries complete the luxurious logcake. The other choice of logcake is a classic crowd-favourite, Royal Chocolate, containing guanaja 70% rich chocolate cream with hazelnut feuilletine. Each 800gm logcake is S$58+.
The selection of desserts this season also include homemade Mixed Berries Tart. The fragrant homemade tart that is freshly-baked on the day of delivery for the best texture. The generous serving of seasonal fruits including strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries, make the tart extra instagrammable for instafoodies. To ensure that the tart is best enjoyed, the chef made sure to assemble each tart just before the order is picked up. Berries Tart (5-inch) is available at S$42.
