2020 CHINESE NEW YEAR MENU AT PEACH GARDEN CHINESE RESTAURANT

It all began with a vision to create a culinary sanctuary where connoisseurs of traditional Cantonese cuisine can gather in celebration of exquisite dining and fine living. This passion took the form of the first Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant at Novena Gardens, established by restaurant veterans Veronica Tan and Angela Ho in 2002. Four more Peach Garden Chinese Restaurants were opened in the next nine years, including Thomson Plaza, OCBC Centre and Hotel Miramar. As a testament to the quality of the restaurant’s gastronomical offerings, Peach Garden restaurants have received numerous accolades and awards from renowned publications such as Singapore Tatler’s Best Restaurants Guide and Singapore Top Restaurants Award from Wine & Dine.

With a team of dedicated master chefs at the helm, the restaurants, which count celebrities, socialites and foreign dignitaries among their esteemed guests, continue to delight patrons with exciting set menus and a wonderful selection of signature dishes served in thoughtfully plated individual portions.

In an effort to bring Peach Garden’s signature award-winning dining experience to more food-loving guests in a casual environment, the first Peach Garden Noodle House opened at the Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1, Departure Lounge on 2 October 2010, and followed by White Sands Shopping Centre and Gardens by the Bay in 2012. In the same year, the first Peach Garden Chinese Dining outlet, smart casual all-day dining featuring restaurant classics and Noodle House favourites, opened its doors at the newly renovated Chinatown Point. Peach Garden is also well adept to outdoor catering for private events and weddings and is honoured to have the privilege of providing catering services to government events and State Banquets.

With the Chinese new year approaching, we visited the Peach Garden at Hotel Miramar to try their Chinese New Year Menu.

龙马精神捞生 (金桔鼠尾籽龙虾 & 三文鱼捞生)

Lobster and Salmon Yu Sheng with Chia Seeds

One of the best Yu Sheng we have tasted so far, the sauce is well balanced and not too sweet or sour. The fresh Salmon and Lobster meat are simply delicious even on its own. When mixed with the various ingredient, the combination is simply out of this world.

聚宝满贯 (迷你正宗佛跳墙)

Mini Buddha Jump over the Wall with Black Gold Black Garlic

Surprisingly the black garlic goes well in this soup. Making this soup is not easy and lots of expensive ingredients go into it, the black garlic compliments it very well. You will feel that one bowl is not enough.

Signature Roasted Crispy London Duck with Black Truffle Sauce

You can see the crispy skin of the duck in this picture. The meat is juicy while the skin is crispy, coat it with the black truffle sauce, simply a match made in heaven.

Pan-fried fillet of Sea Perch with Fresh Lily Bulb and Foie Gras Sauce

The interesting part about this dish is that the fillet of sea perch taste so light even though it has been pan-fried to golden color. Crispy skin on the outside yet the inside is still moist. There is no oily after taste. The tomato cleanses your palate for the next dish.

堆金积玉 (腊味煲饭)

Traditional Steamed Claypot Rice with Chinese Sausage

Simple traditional dish yet so difficult to perfect. The chef here really master it with soft claypot rice soak up with all the sauces while the Chinese Sausages are of top quality because it is not salty and cooked to the right texture to complement the rice in the claypot. Give it a good mix and you will enjoy it.
