2020 Chinese New Year | Celebrate The Year Of The Rat At Orchard Hotel Singapore

Orchard Hotel Singapore marks the auspicious arrival of the Year of the Rat with sumptuous culinary celebrations at The Orchard CafeHua Ting Restaurant and Hua Ting Steamboat.


Toss to a greater year with award-winning Hua Ting Masterchef’s Yu Sheng creation – the Prosperity Yu Sheng (Salmon Belly) with Organic Vegetables and Wolfberries 发财鱼生 (三文鱼捞生) (S$88 for small and S$148 for large).   Topped with the nutritious wolfberries, the dried red fruit has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of year. The highlight is the use of specially imported Crystal Ice Plant, best known for its crunchy texture, accompanied by other Organic greens to make this a healthy and appetizing Yu Sheng. 


The Hua Ting Signature Fortune Pot ‘Pen Cai’ 围村家乡盆菜 (small S$328; large S$598) brims with well-stocked delicacies including Abalone, Fish Maw, Sea Cucumber, Tiger Prawns, Dried Scallops, Japanese Mushrooms, Dried Oysters and Roasts, served in an auspicious red wooden round container representing an abundance of food and wealth for the new year!

Best-selling roasts include the Barbecued Whole Suckling Pig红乳猪全体 (S$288) and Hua Ting Signature Roasted Duck招牌脆皮全鸭 (S$82).


Newly featured items include the Pumpkin and Purple Sweet Potato Cake 黄金紫薯糕 (S$42).  Symbolizing a sweet year, the purple sweet potato cake is infused with the sweet flavored pumpkin!


Other signature favourites include the Traditional ‘Nian Gao’ 传统年糕 (S$42); Water Chestnut Cake with Tie Guan Yin铁观音年糕 (S$42); and Radish Cake with 16-head South African Abalone萝卜糕十六头南非鲍鱼 (S$78).

Hua Ting Restaurant’s Takeaway Goodies and Prosperity Set Menus are available from 1 January till 8 February 2020.  Prosperity Set Menus are priced from S$108 to S$198 per person (minimum 2 diners) and from S$988 to S$6888 for 10 persons. Reunion Lunch is served from 11:30am to 2:30pm on Mondays to Fridays and 11:00am to 2:30pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Eve of and Public Holidays, while Reunion Dinner is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm (1st Seating) and 8.00pm to 10.00pm (2nd Seating).




Enjoy a warm gathering with families and friends at the Hua Ting Steamboat. Featuring three special set menus, relish the joy of dunking fresh ingredients in five flavoursome broths prepared from scratch daily. Well-loved culinary treasures include the Dragon Tiger Grouper, Live Prawns, Bay Scallops, Nagano Pork Belly and Prawn Paste, alongside handmade items such as Sotong Doughnut and Prawn Paste with Fish Maw.


Hua Ting Steamboat’s Fortune Set Menus available from 13 January till 8 February 2019 are priced at S$78 and S$98 per person (minimum 2 dinners). Reunion lunch is served daily from 11:30am to 2:30pm, while reunion dinner is served from 5:30pm to 10:30pm.




Celebrate over a Gastronomic Buffet filled with Chinese New Year-themed dishes to honour the festivity. Feast to your heart’s delight with auspicious favourites including a dedicated The Orchard Cafe’s Signature Pen Cai, “Fa Cai” BBQ Platter with Coin Jerky; Deep-fried Shishamo with Peach and Lemon Mayonnaise; Grilled Large Tiger Prawns, Lobster and Lamb Chop; and Mandarin Orange Chocolate Cake.
