The best pizza we have tasted in Bali. An edible ode to vintage California, Flat Stanley made itself at home earlier this year on Jl. Petitenget, a 120-seater adorned in retro relics and vintage finds. Despite being new to the Balinese dining scene, the restaurant has already established itself as a favourite for locals and visitors, voted #1 pizza on TripAdvisor, and ranking #3 in Seminyak restaurants.
While the menu hosts an array of American favourites, it’s pizza that is the venue’s specialty. At the kitchen’s helm is chef Matt White, a self-proclaimed ‘dough head’, who started Alt. Pizza and Extra Virgin Pizza in Singapore. His penchant for sourdough pizza has formed the inspiration behind Flat Stanley’s lengthy offerings, with the menu including the likes of Peppered Salami; a concoction of crushed tomato, mozzarella, roasted onion, spicy salami and locally-made mozzarella and The Truffle; a bevy of crushed tomato, fontina, and mixed mushrooms, all drizzled with Italian white truffle oil.
“Being the #1 rated pizza restaurant in Seminyak is an amazing honour, especially after only being open around 4 months.” says White of the accolade. “Our pizza is only going to get better and better as our oven becomes more “seasoned” over time, and our sourdough starter gets more complicatedly delicious flavours. Our next goal is to be the #1 restaurant as we currently sitting at #3!”

Daily Happy Hour runs from 4 – 6pm with 50% off their Mozzarella Pizza, and Crafty Crust Wednesdays, which offers a pizza and craft beer for just Rp. 150k.
