Set to invigorate the line-up of Sunday events, beachside Bintan estate, The Sanchaya, has announced the introduction of Sanchaya Sundays where for the first time, guests will be invited to experience the estate by day. The colonial-inspired property is perched on the sandy shores of the Indonesian island, within easy reach of Singapore; just 50 minutes away, the property is ideally placed to escape the city for a luxuriously leisurely end to the weekend.
Launching on Sunday 16th September, the exclusive event will take place on the third Sunday of each month thereafter, opening up access to The Sanchaya’s world-class facilities, which are ordinarily reserved for residing guests only. Upon arrival at the estate, guests will be invited to indulge in a culinary journey, complete with free flow Bloody Mary’s, Pimms, and soft drinks from 12:30-3pm. Gourmet options will start in The Decanter – the estate’s glass-walled wine and cheese room – and will include Stilton infused with Vintage Port, a live station with freshly carved Jamòn ibérico, and a selection of freshly baked breads. The á la carte highlights include Chili Crab – blue crab, onion, bell pepper, spicy chili sauce – Ravioli – ricotta ravioli, Bintan spinach, lobello sauce – and Beef Tenderloin, whilst in The Bar, guests will be able to help themselves to a selection of desserts, including a range of fine cheeses, fresh strawberries dipped in melted Belgian chocolate, and a photo worthy Macaroon Tower. The Sanchaya Sundaysmenu includes dishes signature to the Indonesian archipelago, whilst Chef Giacomo Turzo draws on his Italian heritage to offer decadent options sure to tantalise palettes. The offerings are designed to encourage social dining, with small dishes enabling guests to sample a variety of the fine dining offerings at the estate.
After lunch, guests will be invited to spend the afternoon enjoying the extensive facilities at The Sanchaya, which include a 50-metre long infinity pool, seaside cabanas, and a manicured lawn. Special touches include the provision of pool and beachside baskets, complete with sunscreen, water and snacks for guests to enjoy as they soak up the sunshine.
Exclusively for Sanchaya Sundays guests, the estate will also be offering 20% discount on all spa treatments to guests wishing to indulge further. The Indonesian-inspired spa offers two treatment rooms and outdoor cabanas, with a bolstered menu incorporating organic, house-made scrubs and a range of rejuvenating treatments. Those looking for a more active afternoon will be delighted by The Sanchaya’s dynamic activity offerings, which include croquet and archery tournaments, and paddle boarding.
