In synonymous with ‘fear of missing out’, FOMO desires to bring about a collective of various neighbourhood food kakis to satisfy any heart, soul of a true foodie.
The 7,000 sq ft space is started by three friends – Mr Lim Chin Chye, 29; Mr Wilmer Ang, 29; and Mr Amos Tan, 28 – who left their corporate jobs to strike out in the food and beverage sector.
FOMO is home to Western stall Chops Grill & Sides; poke bowl concept Poke Doke; Mr Wholly Seafood Company, which specialises in seafood buckets; The Don Pizza & Pasta; and Kanemochi, which sells mochi ice cream. The owners will also run a Brew Counter selling drinks and alcohol.
Another brand is Zamza, a Muslim-friendly chicken-based ramen concept by Mr Sean McCully, 45, owner of Jimoto Ya ramen restaurant in Pickering Street. He had considered opening a branch of Jimoto Ya at FOMO, but decided to offer options without pork or lard instead, to cater to the community in the area.
Zamza’s menu will offer chicken-based ramen in creamy tori paitan and clear Kobe-style soup, as well as rice bowls and yakitori.
Mr Wholly Seafood Company’s owner, Esther, decided to give FOMO a try because her stall’s lease at Satay by the Bay had run out. While the brand stick to its specialty of Louisiana-style seafood, she is looking to introduce more varieties of crab and prawn, along with more complementary sauces.

The Don Pizza & Pasta
Lasksa Pasta by The Don Pizza & Pasta, spicy and original local taste.
This dish has a fancy name: Al Capone (Laska Pasta) named after famous mobster. Since the stall name is The Don, which means Godfather.
I loved the generous amount of prawns and pacific clams. Elevating the Al Capone experience is the aroma from their delicious homemade laksa paste, which carries a slight heat when eaten with the al dente linguine.
Mr Wholly Seafood : Sambal baby octopus and Salmon nasi lemak. Original sambal chilli and baby octopus, yummy. I like the Salmon too. Great combination.

We tried the Tokyo style Tori Paitan Creamy Shio Ramen
Although chicken “char-siew” is used instead of pork, the taste is still great. Authentic Ramen taste. The broth was more robust than the ‘clear’ version. Swimming in creamy paitan chicken broth is al-dente ramen noodles topped with chicken char siew, black fungus, goma seeds, baby cabbage as well as chicken and onion oil. All their ingredients come from Japan

End off the journey at FOMO with mochi desserts that we all love! Imagine biting into a glutinous-chewy exterior to reveal a creamy ice cream core.
