In conjunction with ION Orchard’s 8th Anniversary, ION Art is proud to present the Celebration of Photography exhibition in partnership with Leica Galerie Singapore. This month, the fourth edition of the annual ION Art Photography Series featured eight collections of work by eight illustrious Singapore-based photographers. The ION Art gallery hosted these carefully curated works that are shot entirely with Leica cameras and lenses from 7 to 15 October 2017, 10am to 10pm daily.
More than just pictures on the wall, Celebration of Photography is a showcase featuring the best of portrait, architectural, lifestyle, documentary, sports and street photography. Coming from all walks of life, the lineup of photographers comprises KC Eng, Laxmi Kaul, Andrew Lum, Francisco Marin, Justin Ong, Eric Sawitoski, Marc Tan and Yuey Tan & Claire Jedrek. Visitors will traverse through cultures, continents and see the world through the eyes and hearts of these dedicated photographers, who each has a unique style.
In addition, the gallery will showcase a full range of Leica cameras – from professional systems including the Leica S and SL to versatile and compact cameras like the Leica Q, TL2 and Sofort.
Furthermore, visitors and shoppers at ION Orchard will be able to sign up for complimentary photography talks hosted by Leica Akademie, led by six of the featured photographers on 7 and 14 October 2017. With their experience and photographic knowledge, this is also an opportune time for budding photography enthusiasts to learn how to capture iconic black and white images from the pros, which Leica is known for.
The month of October continues to brim with excitement as ION Art gears up to host art exhibitions organised by Very Special Arts Singapore from 20 to 26 October 2017, and a solo exhibition by local artist Ler Hock Chuan from 28 October to 5 November 2017.
