THE MACALLAN PRESENTS ITS LATEST RELEASE IN THE HARMONY COLLECTION IN COLLABORATION WITH JING TEA

The Macallan unveils its latest expression in the Harmony Collection, Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea, an exquisite single malt Scotch whisky inspired by the artistry and elegance of tea, created in collaboration with JING, curators of some of the world’s finest single garden teas.

This 2025 release celebrates the meeting of mastery and origin. Crafted by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team, Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea pays tribute to a rare and aromatic oolong traditionally grown in the Phoenix Mountain range of Guangdong, China. Known for its dessert wine aromas and vibrant fruit character, the tea has inspired a whisky of layered complexity and refined balance.

Tasting Notes:
Inspired By Phoenix Honey Orchid Tea (ABV 43.9%)
Nose: Summery peach and apricot, floral honey, tropical fruits, toffee and sweet oak
Palate: Fresh peaches in syrup, warm citrus, light floral notes, delicate leafy astringency
Finish: Fruity, sweet and complex

To honour this collaboration, The Macallan has introduced a refined whisky and tea pairing ritual, inspired by the traditional Chinese Gong Fu tea ceremony (工夫茶). This ceremonial practice celebrates the artistry, terroir and shared heritage of both crafts, offering a multisensory experience that connects single malt whisky with single garden tea.
