FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Amber Lounge this year kicked off on a heartfelt note with its inaugural Charity Gala Dinner with co-host Sir Jackie Stewart OBE and friends from the F1 racing community at the Raffles Singapore. Held on Thursday, 19 September, the glamorous event was attended by more than 140 VIP guests to raise funds in support of Race Against Dementia — a global charity launched by the former world champion racing legend in 2014, and supported by Formula 1 to raise awareness of and funds for dementia research.

Guests attending the Charity Gala feasted on a sumptuous gourmet dinner and free flowing beverages, and took in a fashion showcase of the latest collection launch of New Zealand-born, Singapore-based designer Lontessa alongside jewellery by Valt. The evening’s highlight was without a doubt the special fireside panel featuring F1 Academy drivers Aurelia Nobels from Scuderia Ferrari and current race leader Abbi Pulling from Rodin Motorsport and Alpine Racing, sharing about their journeys as women excelling in motorsport, which Netflix also came to document for their new upcoming docuseries on F1 Academy drivers. Another highlight was of course the live auction which attracted generous bids for highly exclusive F1 related experiences and collectibles reached fever pitch, all to benefit Sir Jackie’s chosen cause.

“Amber Lounge’s audience is not just one that can enjoy and appreciate a fabulous party, but they also care about giving back and making a positive difference, as do we,” says Tan. “Hence through our global networks and brand appeal, we are fortunate to be able to effectively bring our clients and friends of Amber Lounge and the F1 community together to help support important charitable initiatives, in a meaningful way.”
