Master Blender Patrick Raguenaud draws inspiration from the Maison’s archives, resurrecting an ancient recipe where Bigaradia orange is macerated in Cognac to craft the unparalleled Quintessence.

Quintessence is not just a liqueur; it’s a tribute to the origins of Grand Marnier. A meticulous blend of hors d’âge Cognacs, aged up to an astonishing 70 years from Grande Champagne, sourced from only 11 selected barrels, including two from 1947. The inclusion of three demijohns from Paradis, believed to be even older, adds an extra layer of exclusivity from the personal reserves of the Marnier Lapostolle family cellar.

Raguenaud’s artistry shines through in the double-distillation of the finest Bigaradia orange peels, ensuring an intensity of flavours that unfold in every sip. The result is a rich, smooth vintage liquid with notes of apricot and walnut, underscored by a warm, dark vanilla base—a true testament to the expertise honed over two decades.
