
Review: Estate Grand Sunday Champagne Brunch at Hilton Singapore Orchard
If you’re looking for the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day, Hilton Singapore Orchard offers an enticing ensemble of dining and beverage experiences at Estate, Ginger.Lily, and Osteria Mozza. I had the pleasure of attending the Champagne Brunch at Estate, and it was indeed a feast fit for a king.
The brunch buffet at Estate was a culinary extravaganza, featuring an extensive menu that left no taste buds unsatisfied. The live Oyster and Seafood Bar showcased a delightful selection of Canadian, Irish, and Fine de Claire Oysters, as well as succulent Maine Lobster. The freshness of the seafood was undeniable, and the oysters were particularly exquisite.
For those who enjoy a variety of flavours, the Smoked and Cured Fishes, Charcuterie, and Homemade Terrines section was a delight. The Smoked Snowfish and Cured Tuna with Tōgarashi offered unique and flavorful options. The Prosciutto di Parma, Coppa Ham, and Foie Gras Terrine were indulgent and beautifully presented.
Cheese enthusiasts would be in heaven at Estate, with its selection of 32 types of European cheeses. From Morbier to Saint-Marcellin, Livarot to Comté aged for 16 months, the cheese display was a true celebration of European flavours. Brie de Meaux and Bleu d’Auvergne were particularly memorable, and I couldn’t resist going back for seconds.
One unique feature of the brunch was the Avocado Bar, which showcased a scrumptious display of avocado-themed dishes. The live station for freshly made Avocado Bruschetta was a hit, offering a refreshing twist on a classic appetizer.
The Barbecue Delights section featured a mouthwatering array of grilled dishes. The homemade sauces provided a delightful range of flavours to complement the smoky goodness of the meats.
Estate’s signature dishes certainly lived up to their reputation. The Estate Signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck was a true highlight, with its succulent meat and delicate truffle aroma. The Whole Roasted Lamb with Tortilla and Grilled Skewers with homemade marinades were equally impressive, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs.
Asian cuisine lovers were also in for a treat, with dishes such as the Cantonese “San Xian” Seafood Bowl, Pan Seared River Prawn with Soy Glaze, Halibut with Preserved Turnip and Heirloom Tomatoes, and Braised Beef Brisket with Sze Chuan Pepper and Scallions. The flavours were bold and authentic, taking my taste buds through Asian culinary traditions.
No meal is complete without dessert, and Estate’s dessert offerings were a sweet conclusion to the brunch experience. The handcrafted artisanal dessert jars and cakes, including the Matcha Truffle, Ume Black Velvet, and Earl Grey Teacake, were decadent and visually stunning. The Lychee Martini Crème Brûlée was a delightful twist on a classic dessert, and the gelato station and live Crêpes with Mascarpone and Berries station added a touch of whimsy.
To accompany the brunch, there was a local gin cocktail bar in partnership with Singapore Distillery exclusively for Father’s Day. The Cendol, infused with coconut pandan gin and a hint of gula melaka, and the Bandung, made with Singapore Distillery’s Stolen Roses Gin and milk, were refreshing and unique.
While the adults enjoyed their gin cocktails, the little ones were kept entertained with art activities, board games, and a magician. The family-friendly atmosphere added to the overall experience, making it a memorable celebration for everyone.
As a special treat, all dads received a commemorative takeaway gift in the form of an upcycled phone holder made from recycled wooden chopsticks—a thoughtful and sustainable gesture.
Overall, the Champagne Brunch at Estate in Hilton Singapore Orchard was a true culinary extravaganza. The variety of dishes catered to every palate, from seafood lovers to cheese connoisseurs and Asian cuisine enthusiasts. The signature dishes, including the Estate Signature Black Truffle Roasted Duck, Whole Roasted Lamb with Tortilla, and Grilled Skewers, were exceptional.
The dessert selection was a sweet indulgence, and the gin cocktail bar added a touch of sophistication to the brunch. With entertainment for the little ones and a welcoming atmosphere for families, this brunch was a fitting way to celebrate the king of the house in style.
