Following the resounding success of the annual Swim + Resort Series since its launch in 2014, the Fashion Council WA (FCWA) is proud to announce that the spectacular resort fashion showcase will return to Western Australia’s (WA) picturesque beaches on 25th & 26th November this year.
For the first time, the fourth edition of the Swim + Resort Series will be held over two days, and will take place at Perth’s newest riverside hotspot Point Fraser Boardwalk and iconic City Beach Surf Life Saving Club. The unique locations will showcase incredible views of WA’s striking beachside and laidback riverside lifestyle, providing an intriguing backdrop for the fashion showcase and proving why WA is the go-to destination in Australia for the sun, sand and sea.
Leading Australian ready-to-wear label Manning Cartell, kaftan queen CAMILLA and Aboriginal luxury accessories brand Kirrikin will headline the SS17/18 Resort runway shows.

Australian model and ultimate summer siren Lucy Baddeley has been selected as the face for this year’s edition, and lends her golden tan, windswept hair and sultry gaze to the campaign. The quintessential Australian golden girl, who exudes the relaxed beach lifestyle of WA with her sun-kissed and feminine look, will also walk in the runway shows and is the perfect ambassador to showcase Australian design talents.

FCWA Director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan says, “I am so excited to see leading local and national designers present their latest resort and swimwear collections in WA. The Swim + Resort Series has become a tribute to the carefree way of life here in Perth and reinforces why WA has become synonymous with this realm of fashion. My vision is to make our beautiful State the home of swim and resortwear, not just in Australia but for the world – in much the same way as Europe is considered the home of luxury fashion.”
