63 Celsius is tucked away in a relatively quiet section on the fourth floor of the Orchard Road Paragon mall, among art galleries and high-end boutiques.
The restaurant’s chic decor of copper and timber makes it hard to miss. The intricately designed wood ceiling extends across the walkway to connect to a bar and more seats in an open space outside.
It serves mostly modern European dishes such as steaks and pastas but they are constantly reviewing the menu and introducing new dishes to attract customers.

Well known for their coffee, we were pleasantly surprised with the wine selection too. So even if you are not dining here, you can always come by for a drink.
63 Celsius has two outlet , one at Asia Square and the one at Paragon.
While we were at the Paragon, we started off with some greens and this dish is quite popular here.
TOMATOES, CHEESE & HERBS
Fresh San Marzano Tomatoes, Tête De Moine, Basil, Balsamic Vinegar, Lemon
Compared to the Roma tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes are thinner and more pointed. The flesh is much thicker with fewer seeds, and the taste is stronger, sweeter and less acidic.
Tête de Moine (meaning “Monk’s head”) is a type of cheese manufactured in Switzerland. Traditionally, the cheese is prepared for eating in an unusual way: the cheese is carefully scraped with a knife to produce thin shavings, which is said to help develop the odour and flavour by allowing oxygen to reach more of the surface.

New on the menu is the 63THAI GAROUPA
63THAI GAROUPA
Honey Pineapple, Calamansi Pomelo Dressing, Fresh Herbs
This dish is refreshing, with the calamansi pomelo dressing, and honey pineapple. While it says THAI but its not spicy. The garoupa itself is battered and deep-fried to a light golden hue, with a crisp coat enveloping moist and smooth flesh.

Another of their famous dish is the
FAMOUS LOBSTER PASTA
Spaghetti, Half Lobster, Fresh San Marzano Tomatoes, Garlic
The pasta is rich with medium balance of meat and tomato flavour. It is not too acidic and counterbalanced with an element of sweetness generally found in a slow cooked sauce. The meat and the liquid surrounding the pasta gelled well.

The steak here is also well known. We try out the Argentinian Ribeye.
ARGENTINIAN RIBEYE STEAK & FRITES
250g, Herb Butter, Crispy Shoestring Fries
The steaks do not have tendon, so its not rubbery. Although not very marbled, the steak here is still soft and tender. The chef pays extra attention while cooking the meat, testing the temperature at different stage to ensure the meat is cooked to the correct doneness.

Last but not least, we complete the meal with a dessert. For dessert we try out the brownie.
CHALK FARM HAZELNUT CHOCOLATE BROWNIE
Handmade Vanilla Ice Cream
The chocolate taste is thick yet not too sweet, the warm brownie goes very well with the cold Vanilla ice cream. It makes you feel one is not enough.

There is a promotion going on for COFFEE CAKE SET at only $7++

This place is highly recommended for its steak and pastas, as well as seasonal local dishes like the Thai Groupa.
They served TORIYAMA JAPANESE STRIPLOIN too although we did not try it this time. With the correct cooking technique, I am sure this is an worthwhile experience.
